Rochelle and I recently decided to take part in Run for the Kids and raising money for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

Neither of us have ever attempted anything like this before nor have we ever reached out to our friends and associates to support us in such an initiative. 

The reason we're embarking on a 14.5 km run, is because a very close personal family friend's daughter of ours has been born with a congenital heart disease and has undergone a number of open heart surgeries with more ongoing care. She is one brave 1 year old who is an amazing inspiration to anyone who knows her. 

The brilliance and dedication of the Royal Children's Hospital surgical team (and there are many) are without parallel and I only hope that anyone who is a Parent, Aunty, Uncle or Grandparent should never have to live through such a stressful experience. No matter how much is raised, it's never enough.
